Rob's Corner

robRob - I was born into an LDS home and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. In my teenage years, I became disillusioned by the inconsistencies I found within the LDS Church. For many years, I believed that I didn't need God in my life, but yet I still considered myself a Mormon. Finally, my search for the truth about God and what He has to offer led me to the REAL Jesus of the Bible. After I accepted the Lord, I was able to help lead Laura (my future wife at the time) to the Lord. Read Rob's Story out of Mormonism.

Dear Ministry Partners,

This year, the LDS Church's 182nd General Conference at Temple Square in Salt Lake City Utah was March 31st and April 1st. Doug and I always get exited about General Conference because it gives us an opportunity to hand out gospel tracts, witness to the LDS and show the love of Christ to literally thousands of Mormons that walk by us on the streets during the 2-day conference. Each conference we get a few LDS that stop and tell us they appreciate the way we conduct ourselves, even though they don't agree with what we are doing. And, of coarse, we get those that call us: "Protestors" and "Mormon Bashers."

rob-dougROB’S REPORT – Witnessing at the LDS Fall Conference 2011

Dear Ministry Team,

The LDS Fall General Conference was very exciting and busy this year. Conference was held on October 1st and 2nd and the weather was very nice, short sleeve weather. So Doug and I were able to wear our mission shirts. Mine says, "Why Don't Mormons Believe the Book of Mormon?" (Alma 11:26-29) and Doug's shirt and sign says, "Is the Mormon Jesus the Same Jesus of the Bible?" (2 Corinthians 11:4).

rob-doug-signWITNESSING IN UTAH - June 2011

Well, another Manti Utah Mormon outreach has come and gone, but the thousands of seeds that were planted will continue to grow, hopefully bearing fruit in the days, months and years to come. Doug and I spent 9 days in Manti Utah, giving us 7 nights of witnessing to the LDS people on the streets outside the Manti Mormon temple grounds where the Mormon Miracle Pageant is held. Even though it was obvious that the LDS attendees were much lower in numbers than in previous years, it didn't seem to hinder the evangelism efforts of the 200+ Christian missionaries that showed up both weeks of the pageant. Every Christian missionary had many conversations and hundreds of tracts were handed out. As Chip Thompson has coined, "God is good all the time."

lds-conf-4-11WITNESSING TO MORMONS AT THE LDS CHURCH'S GENERAL CONFERENCE APRIL 2011

Hi Everyone,

Another LDS Spring Conference has come and gone leaving hundreds of sown seeds to pray for growth and maturity. Doug and I, along with a dozen or so other Christian missionaries spent the 2nd and 3rd of April witnessing to the thousands of LDS members who attend their annual Spring Conference at Temple Square in Salt Lake City Utah.

Saturday was a pleasant 70 degrees yet with the good weather, there still seemed to be fewer than average attendance by the LDS members and even less interest in taking tracts. I had to be a little bolder than normal to even pass tracts to the LDS walking by. Normally I can pass out 300 to 400 tracts during the weekend but was only able to hand out about 150 tracts this time. The morning was very slow but in the afternoon we had a number of good conversations. Doug even had a conversation with a physical therapist from our home town who came to attend the LDS conference. The next day, this same physical therapist came by again and talked with Doug, thanking Doug for their conversation from the day before.

bomWHY DON'T MORMONS BELIEVE THE BOOK OF MORMON?

The Book of Mormon Teaches:

* There is only 1 God: Alma 11:26-29
* God was never a man: Moroni 8:18
* God does not have a body of flesh and bones but is a Spirit: Alma 18:24-28 & 22:9-11
* God is not a progressive God: Mormon 9:9, 19

Testimonials

lds-witnessI am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth.

“I just wanted to thank you for this great teaching site. I am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth. I am a new believer of Jesus in the way he would want me to know him and of his love for me.  I have been born again for a little over a year. Thank You! Please pray for myself and my family. I still have thoughts of the Mormon ways. How controlling it can be. What release I have found now.”

lds_templeThis is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in Mormonism.

“This is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in this Mormonism religion. I'm now embracing Christianity but I refuse to  join a church as I'm trying to have my own personal relationship with Christ first of all. I read your article on Salvation and  I said the salvation prayer.  Thank you ever so much for that example.”

mountain-path2Thank you for being there for me!

"Hello, I found your website quite by accident, but once I started reading, it was hard to stop. As it is… I am currently on a spiritual journey and trying to figure out which 'religion' to follow... Thinking I was starting my search into Mormonism again, I ended up on your site. The more I read, the more it made senseThank you for being there for me to find. I think your website was my ‘sign’ to find, read, and learn from.”

manti_temple2Your Website Touched Me!

“I am contacting you to express to you how much the information that you offer in your website touched me. I myself was a Mormon. And it was not long after I stopped taking their word for it and research the history and the doctrine as a whole my self …did I notice that it was a lie, laced with God’s (Word) truth. The information that you offer about what the LDS believe is correct and I am glad that you are letting God use you in this ministry.”

lds_missionariesKeep up the good work!

“I live in Utah and last week I was approached by a couple of Mormon missionaries.  ...I took a little time to search your website and prepare myself for their next visit. I must say that I was very impressed and the information you provided was quite educational. ...Now that I’ve seen your website, I can address many of the other differences and contradictions that I wasn’t even aware of before.  …Keep up the good work.”

lds-answersI like your website because I can look for answers...

“Hi… I’m Christian, but some time ago I was Mormon. I give thanks to God because now I have a true relationship with God.  My life is different, but my husband isn't interested... because he was raised in the Mormon Church. …I like your website, because I can learn more about Mormonism and how to reach my husband …and in this site I can look for answers to questions that nobody has answered for me.”
