bullets THE GOSPEL BLESSES FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS

Under this next section of “The Restoration of Truth” link of mormon.org, we read: “Because families are ordained of God, they are the most important social unit in time and in eternity.  Marriage (Genesis 2:18) and family (Genesis 1:28) are central focal points in God’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.  Your Heavenly Father wants you to do all you can during your time on Earth to prepare yourself to live in an eternal family.”

WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT FOREVER FAMILIES:

Forever Families and non-worthy family members

  • The teaching of Mormonism's three Kingdoms of Heaven, prevents the family unit from existing “together” as a complete family unit if ANY of the family members fail to perform to the standards required for the Celestial Kingdom (Highest Mormon Kingdom). The LDS Church manual, Gospel Principles states:

“At the Final Judgment we will be assigned to the kingdom for which we are prepared. We will be sent to one of four places the celestial kingdom (the highest degress of glory), the terrestrial kingdom (the second degree), the telestial kingdom (the lowest degree), or outer darkness (the kingdom of the devil - not a degree of glory). ...Terrestrial... These are also they who received the gospel and a testimony of Jesus but then were not valiant.... They will not be part of eternal families....”—Gospel Principles, pp. 297-298

Thus, children born to parents who have been “sealed” for “time and eternity” in a Mormon Temple, are not guaranteed to live with their parents in the Celestial Kingdom, until after they have proven worthy of that Kingdom by fulfilling all the commandments and covenants of the LDS faith throughout their entire adult lives.

Divided Families in the Celestial Kingdom

  • Even if an entire LDS family inherits the Celestial Kingdom as Mormonism describes, they will NOT really be together forever as a family. This is because Mormonism teaches that when a husband and wife are exalted to become “gods” in the Celestial Kingdom, each couple is given a separate “world” to populate from the ones given to their children. Thus, if every worthy male and female couple each inherits a “world” to populate, how would they be able to be “together” in the family unit of their parent’s world? Since “gods” in Mormonism have a finite body and cannot be present everywhere, how would a worthy Mormon couple who is busy populating their “world” be able to be “present” with their children who are busy with their own separate worlds?

“Brethren, 225,000 of you are here tonight. I suppose 225,000 of you may become gods. There seems to be plenty of space out there in the universe. And the Lord has proved that he knows how to do it. I think he could make, or probably have us help make, worlds for all of us, for every one of us 225,000.” —Spencer W. Kimball (12th LDS Prophet), Ensign, November 1975, p. 80

How many Gods there are, I do not know. But there never was a time when there were not Gods and worlds, and when men were not passing through the same ordeals that we are now passing through.”—Brigham Young (2nd LDS Prophet), Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333

“It has been said, therefore, that God is everywhere present; but this does not mean that the actual person of any one member of the Godhead can be physically present in more than one place at one time.…plainly, however, His person cannot be in more than one place at any one time.” —James E. Talmage, The Articles of Faith, (1890), 1966ed., p. 43

Marriage in Heaven and the Teachings of Jesus

  • Jesus taught that there will be NO marriage in heaven (see Matthew 22:28-30), but that all people in Heaven will resurrect in a form similar to the angels in Heaven. Because the Bible teaches that there is only one Heaven where God and His people will live, the Bible teaches that all family members can live together in Heaven if they trusted Jesus Christ's payment for their righteous standing before God (see Acts 16:30-31). Thus, there will be no families broken apart into separate “Kingdoms of Heaven,” simply for not proving worthy enough or for inheriting separate “worlds”. Only the rejection of Jesus as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9), causes the unbeliever to be rejected from Heaven. Thus, while the family unit itself will not exist in Heaven, family members can live together forever in God’s ONE Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 25:46).

Testimonials

lds-witnessI am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth.

“I just wanted to thank you for this great teaching site. I am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth. I am a new believer of Jesus in the way he would want me to know him and of his love for me.  I have been born again for a little over a year. Thank You! Please pray for myself and my family. I still have thoughts of the Mormon ways. How controlling it can be. What release I have found now.”

lds_templeThis is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in Mormonism.

“This is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in this Mormonism religion. I'm now embracing Christianity but I refuse to  join a church as I'm trying to have my own personal relationship with Christ first of all. I read your article on Salvation and  I said the salvation prayer.  Thank you ever so much for that example.”

mountain-path2Thank you for being there for me!

"Hello, I found your website quite by accident, but once I started reading, it was hard to stop. As it is… I am currently on a spiritual journey and trying to figure out which 'religion' to follow... Thinking I was starting my search into Mormonism again, I ended up on your site. The more I read, the more it made senseThank you for being there for me to find. I think your website was my ‘sign’ to find, read, and learn from.”

manti_temple2Your Website Touched Me!

“I am contacting you to express to you how much the information that you offer in your website touched me. I myself was a Mormon. And it was not long after I stopped taking their word for it and research the history and the doctrine as a whole my self …did I notice that it was a lie, laced with God’s (Word) truth. The information that you offer about what the LDS believe is correct and I am glad that you are letting God use you in this ministry.”

lds_missionariesKeep up the good work!

“I live in Utah and last week I was approached by a couple of Mormon missionaries.  ...I took a little time to search your website and prepare myself for their next visit. I must say that I was very impressed and the information you provided was quite educational. ...Now that I’ve seen your website, I can address many of the other differences and contradictions that I wasn’t even aware of before.  …Keep up the good work.”

lds-answersI like your website because I can look for answers...

“Hi… I’m Christian, but some time ago I was Mormon. I give thanks to God because now I have a true relationship with God.  My life is different, but my husband isn't interested... because he was raised in the Mormon Church. …I like your website, because I can learn more about Mormonism and how to reach my husband …and in this site I can look for answers to questions that nobody has answered for me.”
