ARE YOU PREPARED TO MEET GOD? - A Simple Test for the Honest Latter-day Saint

The Book of Mormon provides clear instructions on how to prepare to meet God. Alma 5:27-28 states: “Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? …Behold, are ye stripped of pride? I say unto you, if ye are not ye are not prepared to meet God. Behold ye must prepare quickly; for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand, and such an one hath not eternal life.” Take this simple test to see if you are prepared to meet God.

How WORTHY do you have to be to receive Eternal Life and Salvation?

In his book, The Miracle of Forgiveness, former LDS (Latter-day Saint) Apostle and Prophet Spencer W. Kimball defined the “gospel” of Mormonism as a “code of laws and commandments” by which humans “might attain perfection and, eventually, godhood.” According to Kimball, “this set of laws and ordinances…is the only plan which will exalt mankind.”...Consequently, the Book of Mormon states: “…for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.” Thus, according to the LDS Bible Dictionary, “This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expended their own best efforts.” Have you done All You can do? Read this article to determine if you are Saved or Unsaved.

IS GRACE ALONE TOO EASY?
While Mormons believe that faith in Christ grants the first level of salvation (i.e., resurrection), many believe that good works (such as marriage for eternity in an LDS temple) are required to earn the highest level of Heaven.  Quoting James 2:20: “...faith without works is dead” and other passages that speak of rewards granted in Heaven, many LDS feel that the Christian Gospel of grace alone is “too easy.” They believe that while sectarian Christians have “some truth,” the LDS religion is the only one that contains the fullness of the everlasting Gospel. Is the Christian Gospel cheap grace?  Is faith in Christ all that matters, or does one need to perform righteous deeds to earn a higher position in Heaven? How difficult is the Gospel Plan described in Mormonism? Is it Impossible? Can mankind be exalted to the highest level of Heaven by obedience to its requirements? You be the judge as we examine the Gospel using only official books of Scripture sustained by the Prophets and Apostles.

Should We TRUST the Bible?

The completion of Biblical revelation was recorded nearly 2,000 years ago. Given its age and circulation, people often wonder if what we have today is what was originally written by the Prophets and Apostles. Likewise, LDS criticism over Bible accuracy echoes these concerns. While Mormons regard the King James Version of the Bible to be God-given Scripture, they claim that many errors have crept into the text.  What about Joseph Smith's Inspired Version of the Bible that he translated to correct perceived mistakes in the text? How reliable are his changes? What Evidence Exists for the Bible's Accuracy?

Testimonials

lds-witnessI am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth.

“I just wanted to thank you for this great teaching site. I am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth. I am a new believer of Jesus in the way he would want me to know him and of his love for me.  I have been born again for a little over a year. Thank You! Please pray for myself and my family. I still have thoughts of the Mormon ways. How controlling it can be. What release I have found now.”

lds_templeThis is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in Mormonism.

“This is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in this Mormonism religion. I'm now embracing Christianity but I refuse to  join a church as I'm trying to have my own personal relationship with Christ first of all. I read your article on Salvation and  I said the salvation prayer.  Thank you ever so much for that example.”

mountain-path2Thank you for being there for me!

"Hello, I found your website quite by accident, but once I started reading, it was hard to stop. As it is… I am currently on a spiritual journey and trying to figure out which 'religion' to follow... Thinking I was starting my search into Mormonism again, I ended up on your site. The more I read, the more it made senseThank you for being there for me to find. I think your website was my ‘sign’ to find, read, and learn from.”

manti_temple2Your Website Touched Me!

“I am contacting you to express to you how much the information that you offer in your website touched me. I myself was a Mormon. And it was not long after I stopped taking their word for it and research the history and the doctrine as a whole my self …did I notice that it was a lie, laced with God’s (Word) truth. The information that you offer about what the LDS believe is correct and I am glad that you are letting God use you in this ministry.”

lds_missionariesKeep up the good work!

“I live in Utah and last week I was approached by a couple of Mormon missionaries.  ...I took a little time to search your website and prepare myself for their next visit. I must say that I was very impressed and the information you provided was quite educational. ...Now that I’ve seen your website, I can address many of the other differences and contradictions that I wasn’t even aware of before.  …Keep up the good work.”

lds-answersI like your website because I can look for answers...

“Hi… I’m Christian, but some time ago I was Mormon. I give thanks to God because now I have a true relationship with God.  My life is different, but my husband isn't interested... because he was raised in the Mormon Church. …I like your website, because I can learn more about Mormonism and how to reach my husband …and in this site I can look for answers to questions that nobody has answered for me.”
