.:DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS COMPARED WITH BOOK OF COMMANDMENTS - Most Significant Changes in LDS Scripture Many of the original revelations of the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants Scripture were published in the 1833 Book of Commandments. Two years later, when these revelations were re-published in the first edition of Doctrine and Covenants, significant changes became apparent. We have provided the following photo images of the original 1833 version of each revelation, along with handwritten notes to demonstrate words added and deleted in the current edition of the revelation. Below each 1833 Book of Commandments photo reprint, we have provided a photo image of a current edition of Doctrine and Covenants. The underlined portions of the text in the current edition display what has been added to the revelation since its original publication in Book of Commandments. I am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth.
“I just wanted to thank you for this great teaching site. I am a former Mormon. I now have much peace knowing the truth. I am a new believer of Jesus in the way he would want me to know him and of his love for me. I have been born again for a little over a year. Thank You! Please pray for myself and my family. I still have thoughts of the Mormon ways. How controlling it can be. What release I have found now.”
This is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in Mormonism.
“This is fantastic! Your information is incredibly helpful as I almost got caught up in this Mormonism religion. I'm now embracing Christianity but I refuse to join a church as I'm trying to have my own personal relationship with Christ first of all. I read your article on Salvation and I said the salvation prayer. Thank you ever so much for that example.”
Thank you for being there for me!
